Them reading habits ....

So, here's a fun list doing the blog-rounds lately. Apparently, the average adult has only ever read 6 of the 100 books on the following list, ofcos I had to see how I stacked up...

eeps ...
only 40/100, this means that I must stop whining that I have nothing to read (and stop reading the romance covers squirrelled away on my nightstand) !!

As for books I hated, the only one that evokes that knee-jerk reaction is Moby Dick which I read the first few chapters of and vowed never to pick again, so I'm sure it doesnt count.

So, how many have you read??

p --- Now I feel realy bad. I thought that I was well-read, but I have read only 5 from this list.
Need to seriously catch up.
(I assume you mean the entire original book, and not some abdridged version.)

40 is a decent number. I've read just 14.5 (0.5 = war and peace which I intend to finish before the library cancels my membership for inordinate delay in returning the bk)

Read only 4 :)

Count of Monte Cristo was in my std 7 curriculum, so had to read it anyway, to pass the exams:P

Thanks for the list. It reminded me of many of the classics that my parents brought me but I never really bothered to pick up. Hopefully, I would start reading them as I stack books for Arnav so that he doesn't end up writing a similar comment on a blog, 25 years down the line!

i have no idea how the list was chosen or even the source, it did amuse me to see bridget jones and jesus rubbing shoulders with each other. from the titles, it looks to me like the results of a most read books vote .....
